5-step assessment

YuMan OS Assessment

Complete the five steps. Cronometer, Whoop, metabolic cart RMR and NIX are optional. Manual entry always works.

Step 1 β€” Body & RMR

Safety & clinical protection

This app is educational decision support and not a medical or eating-disorder screening tool. If restrictive eating, low weight, dizziness, fainting, hormonal suppression or medical concern applies, guidance should be restore-first and professional support should be considered.

Step 2 β€” Activity Demand

Choose the single option that best reflects both physical movement and mental/cognitive strain. This combined demand sets the PAL energy multiplier and also informs movement/recovery routing.

Mental/cognitive load is built into the selected option, so there is no separate mental-load dropdown.
Capped at 10% to avoid extreme changes.
Minimum 4 weeks before reassessing.

Step 3 β€” Fixed 5-day Cronometer Input

Small upload option: fills the five most recent complete days and excludes today if it appears incomplete.

Advanced energy settingOnly enter this when a metabolic assessment or qualified practitioner has supplied a daily energy-requirement figure. Otherwise YuMan OS uses tested/predicted RMR with Activity Demand, or Whoop calories when selected.
No fat value is entered here.
Fat percentage is calculated from the Cronometer data. YuMan OS keeps fat analysis separate from the energy traffic light; where fat is reduced, the calories should generally be replaced with carbohydrate rather than simply removed.

Step 4 β€” Hydration Context

Uses energy and macros to estimate food water, glycogen water and metabolic water, then suggests the remaining drinking-fluid range. This is not a medical fluid prescription.

Step 5 β€” Biofeedback

These do not override the numbers, but they help place them in real physiology. Use 1 for very poor, 5 for neutral/average, and 10 for excellent.

Reports

Saved Reports

Stored on this device only.
YuMan OS keeps up to 20 reports in this browser with no programmed expiry. They do not follow you to another browser or device and may be lost if website data is cleared.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy explains how YuMan OS ("we", "us") handles information when an adult uses the YuMan OS assessment, creates reports, uploads files or connects a third-party service. YuMan OS is an educational decision-support service and is not a medical service.

2. Information we handle

  • Profile and assessment information, including age, sex, height, weight, activity demand and information entered into biofeedback fields.
  • Nutrition and hydration information, including calories, macronutrients, micronutrients, fluid entries, meal information and uploaded Cronometer data.
  • Fitness and wearable information, including energy expenditure, recovery, strain, sleep-related scores, heart rate, HRV, steps and workout context where supplied by a connected provider.
  • NIX session information, including estimated fluid and electrolyte loss.
  • Generated scores, traffic-light states, guidance and reports inferred from the information supplied.
  • Technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as request times, IP address and security logs handled by our hosting provider.

3. Where information comes from

Information comes directly from you, from files you choose to upload, and from services you explicitly connect, such as Cronometer or WHOOP through Terra. Provider availability and the fields returned vary.

4. Why we use it

We use the information to calculate and display energy, nutrition, hydration, recovery and movement guidance; create reports; maintain connected-data history; diagnose failed imports; secure the service; and respond to support or privacy requests. We do not sell health data or use it for targeted advertising.

5. Lawful basis and health-data consent

Nutrition, wearable, fitness and inferred status information may be health data and therefore special category data. For optional connected-data processing, our intended UK GDPR bases are consent under Article 6(1)(a) and explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a). Connecting a provider is optional. Consent must be actively given before a connection is opened and may be withdrawn for future processing. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

6. Browser and cloud storage

  • Browser storage: up to 20 generated reports and app preferences may remain in the browser until the user deletes them, clears website data or loses access to that browser. Browser records do not automatically move to another device.
  • Connected-data test storage: signed Terra webhook payloads and normalised Cronometer or WHOOP day records are stored in Cloudflare D1 for up to 90 days. A Terra connection identifier may remain while the connection is active or until deletion is requested.
  • Consent records: the consent decision, policy version and timestamp are stored to demonstrate the choice made and any later withdrawal. They do not contain the connected health measurements.
  • Uploaded files: browser-based CSV and NIX parsing is intended to occur on the user's device. Connected-provider payloads are received by the backend and stored as described above.

7. Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare provides hosting, security and D1 database services. Terra provides the connection layer between YuMan OS and supported third-party services. Cronometer, WHOOP and any other service a user connects process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may also be disclosed where legally required, to protect users or the service, or as part of a properly managed business transfer.

8. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires transfer safeguards, we will rely on the provider's applicable contractual and legal safeguards and review them before public launch.

9. Automated guidance

YuMan OS applies documented rules to create scores, traffic-light states and educational guidance. These outputs do not make legal decisions, determine access to essential services, or replace professional judgement. Users can choose not to act on them and can use manual entry instead of connected services.

10. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, users may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive their personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. Identity may need to be verified before acting on a request. Users may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

11. Security and data quality

We use access controls, encrypted transport, Cloudflare secrets and signed webhook checks. No system is completely secure. Guidance quality also depends on complete and accurate source data.

12. Children

YuMan OS is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not designed to knowingly collect children's health data.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be dated and presented before new processing where appropriate.
